This French Ponthier Chilled Blood Orange Puree 1kg is made from fruit picked at maturity that is finely crushed to which sugar is added (approximately 10%) and contain no additives.
Purees can be used as a substitute for fresh fruit, and offering practicality, time saving, food safety, cost control and consistent quality throughout the year. Purees can be used in Cocktails, fruit juices, smoothies, deserts and as fillings for chocolate
The blood orange is a variety of Mediterranean orange, fruit of the orange tree Citrus sinensis, with a flesh that tends towards a bright red colour. This colouration progresses centripetally as the fruit matures and is explained by the presence of anthocyanin, a type of pigment. Apart from a few red spots on its skin, its external appearance is similar to that of an ordinary orange. With wide variations in temperature and long sun exposure, the Sicilian climate is perfect for growing wonderful varieties of blood oranges. PONTHIER has therefore selected balanced and tasty oranges, grown in wonderfully fertile land.
The product must be kept refrigerated and used within 3-5 days of opening.
